I am the seventh child out of ten from a pair of short Asians living peacefully in the state of Minnesota, USA. However, because my oldest sister passed away before I was born, I consider myself the sixth of nine children. Along with my outrageously large family, I have three bother-in-laws and a total of ten nieces and nephews. My current household count is nine.

I became interested in animanga at a very young age. My first obsessions included Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon. As a child, I somewhat recall shows such as Thundercats and Ronin Warriors, but as I was too young, their fandom died before I was old enough to fully like them. Other shows I enjoyed as a child include Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, Earthworm Jim, Freakazoid, the original Mighty Morphing Power Rangers and Captain Planet.

At the age of twelve, I discovered...fanfiction. It was my bliss. After a year and a half of surfing the web reading as much fanfiction as I could get my hands on, I came across The Sakura & Syaoran FanStation, owned by PiggyHoHo. Awed by the wonderful site, I decided to create my own. On December 23, 2000, I signed up at Geocities with the username kinomoto_li and began my journey as an aspiring web developer (actually, at the time, I merely wanted a site as cool as PiggyHoHo's).

A few months down the line, I became friends with a girl named Kyoko who ended up hosting me and teaching me Server Side Includes (SSI) and PHP includes, which made my life so much more simple. And, with lots of help from Lissa Explains It All, coding web layouts on my own became a lot easier (as compared to Geocities's Pagebuilder). Unfortunately, the only designs I had mastered were tables.

Shortly thereafter, after much begging and pleading, I was finally allowed to purchase my very own domain name, only-dreams.org, which opened initally as an Hiiragizawa Eriol and Daidouji Tomoyo fansite (of the series Card Captor Sakura). It then later became a general anime fansite and then finally a small custom graphics site (which totally makes me laugh when I think about it now). I was but one girl with big dreams to take over the web and this was simply my start.

Not too long after my first domain, I became eager for more. I wanted to expand. I wanted to grow. I needed more! So, with much hesitation, my mom finally handed over her credit card to allow me to purchase more. Within the next few years, and several sites opening and closing, the following domain names became a part of my history (in no particular order): kurikara.net, fallen-cherub.net, kyonkichi.com, dysfuncti0nal.com and cherubic-wings.net. Unfortunately, none of these domains made it past one year with me, as I ended up changing my mind more so than I should have.

After years of on-and-off designing, I was finally blessed in high school when the Advanced Chemistry teacher suggested a new class called Introduction to Web Development to the principal. In my junior year, I was brought deeper into the world of PHP and MySQL (as well as Actionscript, but that's a whole different story). I came home everyday after school with a headache, but the bigger the headache, the more I fell in love with the language (and no, I'm not masochistic). I knew right then and there that I had definitely found my bliss.

Upon finishing high school, I took one year off before returning to the academic field. After much debate, I decided upon Brown College's Software Development program (which, mind you, I do not recommend to anyone). After about 16 months in the program, I emerged into the work field with an Associates of Applied Science in Software Development. And this is where my story finally really begins...
